Combat! - "Decision" (1966)

In this episode of the WWII war drama, Franciscus guest stars as PFC Charles Harris, a demolitions expert who comes to Sgt. Saunders' (Vic Morrow) squad tasked with blowing up a Nazi communications center. But when he inadvertently displays his medical training helping wounded men, his past as a doctor is revealed. Harris has abandoned his career as a doctor because he fears he can't live up to his father's standards as a doctor - and because he's afraid he might accidentally kill someone he is treating. But this same fear of killing hampers his ability to do his job as a demolitions expert as well. When he is faced with using his medical skills or letting a fellow soldier die, Harris decides to return to his true profession, despite his fears.
